Code: COCA04
Date: 4days/3night

===========================

DAY 1: SAIGON – BEN TRE - VUNG LIEM  (L/D)

Meet your guide at hotel and transfer to the Mekong Delta. Board a cruise to explore the villages, stopping at local home to savor fresh fruit, experience rowing boats, and immerse yourself in local activities and daily life. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the pier.

Next, depart for Vung Liem district where you'll be welcomed by the family and neighbors of the Lodge’s owner, who has thoughtfully designed and created this unique retreat. They will share their rich local culture with visitors from around the world. After checking in, set out on a sunset bicycle tour. Visit Mr. Cong’s home to observe the traditional process of pop rice production and gain insight into this time-honored technique. Experience his daily life and craftsmanship firsthand.

Continue to another local home to harvest and weave water coconut leaves, used in Mekong Delta construction, and see Mrs. Chien demonstrate the making of 'poon' sticks. Your guide will also explain animal raising and biogas collection.

Cycle through peaceful village paths, explore rice paddies, and visit a dragon fruit plantation (you can discuss with your guide if you'd like to extend the ride). Enjoy the sunset before returning to the lodge to freshen up.

Finish the evening with a cooking class where you'll learn to make Vietnamese pancakes, followed by dinner at the lodge's restaurant.

DAY 2: COCO RIVERSIDE LODGE  (B/L/D)

After breakfast, board a motorboat and head to the local floating market to immerse yourself in the region's vibrant culture and daily life.
Next, visit a Cao Dai temple and a nearby coconut factory along the river, where you'll observe the handcrafting of coconuts into ropes and rugs. This artisanal process caters primarily to international buyers, particularly from Korea.

Afterward, return to the lodge to unwind or take a swim. Lunch at restaurant

In the afternoon, start with a sampan ride through the canal to explore another village and experience its peaceful, simple life. Visit the home of Mrs. Toa, a Mother Hero who sheltered communist comrades during wartime searches. After the war, these comrades, who later became government officials, helped build a memorial house for her. Today, her grandson continues the legacy by raising frogs as his main business. Enjoy snacks, food, and coconut juice while chatting with the family before returning to the lodge to relax.

Late afternoon, visit the home of Mr. Hai Luong, a war veteran, who will share his memories of the Vietnam War in the village. Enjoy traditional military music illuminated by the soft glow of poon candles. At the end of the show, walk back holding torches made from dried coconut leaves, a traditional local custom for nighttime.

DAY 3: COCO RIVERSIDE LODGE – CAN THO (B/L/D)

After breakfast, select a bicycle for a morning ride to Chua Xu Temple. This historic temple, established 200 years ago, honors a local landlord lady who played a crucial role in caring for the village. The temple was built to ensure her blessings for favorable weather, abundant harvests, protection from bandits, and freedom from disease.

Continue your ride along scenic paths lined with vegetable gardens and lush fields. Stop at Mrs. Hong’s home, where she crafts rice wine for village celebrations and weddings. Watch her winemaking process and enjoy a tasting session. Explore her diverse activities, including raising pigs, cows, frogs, crickets, and geckos. Take a stroll through her fruit garden, featuring guava, star apple, dragon fruit, banana, and especially passion fruit, and savor these fruits fresh from the garden.

Return to the lodge with your bike, enjoy lunch, and then transfer to Can Tho City. Check in to your hotel and take some time to enjoy the hotel's amenities and services at your leisure.

DAY 4: CAN THO – SAIGON (B/L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then board a motorized boat for an early visit to the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most popular in the Mekong Delta. The market operates from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, so an early start is essential. A 40-minute boat ride reveals lively riverbank activities, including fishing, passenger transport, and goods movement. You'll see colorful boats, merchant vessels, and stilt houses.

At the market, experience traditional trading practices with “offering poles” and a vibrant array of boats selling various products.

After the market, visit a site where rice vermicelli noodles are made, stroll through an orchard garden, and cross a bamboo bridge made from a single bamboo tree if you have a chance.

Return to Ninh Kieu Wharf for a city tour of Can Tho, including an ancient house and Khmer temple. Check out, have lunch, and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the afternoon. End of services.
